You may remember a blog post about how we’re ‘Keeping it Green’, from back in October last year.
We expressed our concerns for the beautiful landscapes that are being transformed as a result of climate change. But we didn’t stop there – oh no. We vowed to do something about it!
DE22 currently hold the iiE Silver Award. This means we’ve taken on various responsibilities and completed a range of tasks set out by Investors in the Environment. The iiE work with companies of all sizes to help reduce their carbon footprint and make their business more sustainable.
This year, we’ve gone for Green! This is the top accreditation that the iiE can award, so we’re chuffed to bits that we’ve met the criteria.
Our Environmental Champion, Claire, has been leading our journey towards the award:
“We are really proud to get all the team involved and have worked hard to progress from Silver to Green award.
Ella at iiE has provided great support and insight for us to achieve this.
At DE22, we feel strongly about taking steps, however small, towards making our working environment greener, and helping future generations.
The team at DE22 recently enjoyed a walk around a Derbyshire Wildlife Trust reserve for World Environment Day, for which the theme was “Closer to Nature”.
We have implemented some greener changes in our working environment too. This includes monitoring usage of paper, water and waste, which helps towards a greener UK.”
